Community cleans encourage everyone to get outside into nature, enjoy what it has to offer and then give back at the same time.

Plastic pollution is still a huge and growing issue for our local environment, wildlife and us which isn’t going away any time soon. We believe that cleaning up and physically connecting people with the issue of plastic pollution is one of the ways to build knowledge, open up conversations and offer a way to tackle this global issue on a local scale.

Last year, 130+ volunteers from across northern Devon collected 76 bags of waste (435kg!) in a single day. Data that fed straight into national lobbying efforts with Surfers Against Sewage and the Marine Conservation Society. This year, we want to go further.
