Our new minibus
We are delighted that with the help of our sponsors*, we now have a 9-seater (inc. driver) electric minibus. The minibus is available for community groups to hire for a small fee, which goes towards maintenance costs.
*Huge thanks to our sponsors at North Devon Coast National Landscape, Fullabrook, Devon County Council and North Devon District Council for enabling us to purchase and run the minibus for a year.
How to book
Step 1: Check the booking calendar below to confirm the minibus is available on your desired date(s).
Step 2: Email us at info@earthactionnorthdevon.org to request the booking. We will send you a Booking Contract to sign and return, along with our Usage Policy. Please read both documents carefully before signing.
Step 3: Once your booking is confirmed, arrange fully comprehensive temporary insurance for the duration of your booking and send us the proof of cover. There are many companies to choose from, but we know Veygo covers 9-seater minibuses.
Step 4: We will invoice you for a nominal rental fee to help cover maintenance costs. Payment must be received before the minibus can be collected.
Step 5: We will arrange with you how to collect and return the keys.
Step 6: At the end of your booking, return the minibus and use the QR code found inside to complete the digital logbook. Please ensure the battery is charged back to the same level as at collection and that the vehicle is clean and tidy. Return the keys to the office in person or through the letterbox if we are closed.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
The minibus must not be used for fare-paying passengers unless you have a private hire licence. If you have a private hire licence, please provide proof at the time of booking, along with evidence that your insurance covers this use.
To ensure the minibus is ready for the next user, please note that we will need to invoice you for any charging or cleaning costs if the vehicle is returned below the original charge level or in a dirty condition.
