Family volunteering - Bash and burn at Morte Point, Woolacombe

Join National Trust rangers and EAND for a fun, hands-on volunteering day this October half-term at Morte Point, Woolacombe on Thursday 29 October 2026.

Together we’ll be cutting back gorse and clearing overgrown vegetation, helping to create space for wildflowers, maritime grassland and other rare species to flourish. A great way to get the whole family outdoors and make a real difference for wildlife.

We’ll provide all the tools and training you need, drop in for as long as you like between 10am-3pm.

Suitable for children aged 6 and upwards (children under 6 are most welcome but the task is quite physical). Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please park at Mortehoe car park (charges apply, not National Trust) and walk towards Morte point , keep an eye out for National Trust rangers in red who will be working in the area.

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, sturdy shoes and bring along a water bottle, snacks and packed lunch.

This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
