Surf & Conservation Festival 2025
A Weekend of Waves, Wildlife, and Community Action
This summer, along with North Devon World Surfing Reserve, we hosted the very first Surf & Conservation Festival in Croyde. And what a weekend it turned out to be. Against the stunning backdrop of North Devon’s coastline, we brought together surfers, conservationists, families, and community members to celebrate our shared love of the ocean and the natural world.
A Powerful Blend of Surf and Conservation
The festival combined the thrill of surf culture with a deeper look at the environmental challenges our oceans and coastlines face. Through inspiring documentary screenings, interactive workshops, and hands-on activities, we explored how storytelling, creativity, and action can all play a part in protecting our planet.
From tales of ocean adventure and resilience on the big screen, to young people discovering conservation skills in our workshops, the weekend was a reminder of just how connected we are to the natural world and how powerful community action can be.
Thank You to Our Community
A heartfelt thank you to the amazing workshop leaders, local conservation groups, filmmakers, volunteers, sponsors, and of course everyone who came along. Your passion and energy made this inaugural event a true celebration of people and planet.
Looking Ahead
The feedback has been unanimous—this is just the beginning. There is strong enthusiasm from all involved to make the Surf & Conservation Festival an annual event, and we are already making plans for next year.
👉 If you or your organisation would like to support, partner, or take part in the 2026 Surf & Conservation Festival, we’d love to hear from you.
Together, let’s keep building momentum, protecting our coastlines, and inspiring the next generation of ocean guardians.
