Fundraising Manager (part-time)
Job Title: Fundraising Manager
Reports to: CEO – Claire Moodie
Location: Office (Braunton) and home-based
Hours: 3 days per week. Flexible working with 1 day in the office
(Monday is a mandatory work day)
Employment Status: Part time employed or self-employed
Pay: £28,000-£32,000 pro rated (dependent on experience)

What are we looking for:
We are seeking an experienced fundraiser to join our small but mighty team. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your skills and experience to a charity that has ambitious plans for growth over the next five years. Your role will be to raise funds for the charity through a varied mix of commercial partnerships, community fundraising activities (including our flagship fundraising event Croyde Ocean Triathlon), as well as other smaller fundraising campaigns and events later in the year.
The postholder will be required to support existing relationships and look for new fundraising opportunities with local businesses, community organisations and schools, ensuring an effective and efficient supporter journey for new and existing supporters
Charity Purpose:
Earth Action North Devon (EAND) is a local environmental charity on a mission to protect and improve our environment through community led action.
Through education, events, campaigns and networks, we’re dedicated to inspiring reconnection with nature, driving sustainable behaviour change and accelerating environmental action across North Devon to foster a healthier relationship between people and the natural world.
Role Purpose:
To help EAND generate income and lead on expanding its community fundraising efforts in order to help meet the charity’s mission.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
We are a small, dedicated team so a committed and proactive approach is essential to help us continue to work towards our mission. We are looking for someone who:
Has experience in managing corporate partnerships in a charity setting
Has a keen interest and experience in community fundraising (individual donations as well as peer to peer fundraising)
Is comfortable communicating with people in person at events to promote the charity’s work
Can create engaging fundraising materials e.g. Fundraising packs, postcards/leaflets to encourage donations
Is adaptable and able to work efficiently with a small team in a busy office
Has the ability to manage and execute multiple tasks
Is passionate about the environment and has a commitment to the values and mission of Earth Action North Devon
Responsibilities
Cultivate and recruit new and existing supporters to participate in a range of events including those planned by EAND as well as ‘host your own’ fundraising events.
Support existing fundraisers and donors to keep them engaged, maximise their value and retain them as supporters
Work closely with the CEO and comms team to create engaging fundraising materials and create effective campaigns
Support event planning to maximise income from fundraising events (quiz’s, raffles, etc.)
Liaise with local partners to encourage support
Work closely alongside the CEO and team to lead on delivering the fundraising strategy
Develop and forge new and existing relationships with local clubs and associations to secure their support
Create and maintain fundraising information tracker, accurately record and monitor income across all campaigns and sources against targets
Represent the charity at events
Duties may vary from time to time as determined by service and business need
Skills
ESSENTIAL
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a fundraising role for a charity
Organised and excellent communicator (written and verbal)
Proficient in using operational systems such as Microsoft/Google Suite
Forward thinking, team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
Ability to manage your own workload and priorities to agreed deadlines
Confident to co-operate and liaise with colleagues, working in a professional manner at all times
DESIRABLE
Proficient in using the Google Suite - especially Google Sheets
Experience in running fundraising campaigns and events
Confident working with businesses as well as members of the public
Experience using fundraising platforms such as JustGiving
Experience designing and creating marketing/fundraising materials/pitch documents
Experience working or volunteering in the environmental/charitable sector
Knowledge of the fundraising landscape in North Devon
